Join Hokkaido University of Education, Japan, Simon Fraser University, Canada, and Illinois State University, United States of America at the Second Pacific Rim Conference on Education. Read a greeting from the dean of the College of Education.

Held on the Illinois State University campus, the conference will focus on teaching and learning in a global society with four conference sub-themes:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
    Efforts to reform STEM education in the schools by addressing current issues, trends, new methods, and questions in teacher education

  • Special Education and Diversity
    Educational practices that address disability and other diverse populations, with particular emphasis on innovative approaches that reflect sensitivity to student differences and success in the curriculum

  • Assistive and Instructional Technology
    Classroom practices and issues related to the use of both instructional and assistive technologies in various countries, with particular emphasis on student outcomes-based approaches

  • Assessment, Evaluation, and Accountability
    Education accountability, outcomes assessment methodologies, and assessment and evaluation of teacher training and educational administration programs
