1st Pacific-Rim Conference on Education

Held in Sapporo, Japan on October 21-22, 2006, the 1st Pacific-Rim Conference on Education's themes were special education and inclusion, the quality of academic achievement, English as a foreign language for children, and teacher professional development. The conference was attended by 150 delegates representing 19 universities, three K-12 schools, two departments of education, and the Thailand Government Ministry. Eleven countries were represented, including Australia, Canada, China, Finland, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, and Zambia. Learn about the first conference
